D'Ieteren Mobility Solutions — a Brussels venue for car launches and EV exhibitions
· D'Ieteren
Looking for a Brussels venue that can host a car launch or an EV exhibition? SILO Brussels has direct vehicle access into its 1,321 m² Meudon hall and 660 m² Navy's hall — both industrial volumes large enough to display dozens of cars in a single sweep, with room left over for parallel zones like indoor cycling routes and charging station demos. In February 2025 the Belgian mobility group D'Ieteren ran Mobility Solutions, a 10-day B2B exhibition for 900 fleet managers, with seven flagship brands — including Skoda, Volkswagen, Cupra and Microlino — displaying their full EV ranges across SILO's spaces.
Why this event was perfect for SILO
Direct drive-in access for full-size vehicles
D'Ieteren brought dozens of full-size EVs into the building and ran live test drives — SILO's industrial layout supports vehicles being routed in and out of the main halls daily, which most Brussels conference venues can't physically accommodate.
Column-free industrial halls — Meudon (1,321 m²) and Navy's (660 m²) — large enough to display dozens of cars in one sweep
Seven flagship brands displayed their full EV ranges side by side across SILO's two main halls, in open volumes that don't break up the showroom flow.
Parallel exhibition zones in one venue — cars, bikes, charging, energy and networking under the same roof
Alongside the main car exhibition, D'Ieteren ran a dedicated indoor cycling route, charging station demos, solar and energy solutions and networking areas — all hosted simultaneously in SILO's 9 spaces, without spilling into satellite venues.
Built for long-run exhibitions — 10 days of continuous operation
The Mobility Solutions exhibition ran for 10 days straight with daily reset, sustained back-of-house and consistent visitor experience — SILO's operational tempo handles extended exhibition runs, not just one-off events.
Industrial concrete and steel as backdrop for sleek product design
SILO's raw industrial aesthetic gives automotive brands a backdrop that contrasts with — and flatters — sleek vehicle design, making the venue equally useful for the exhibition floor and the brand photography that comes out of it.
B2B exhibition logistics for hundreds of professional visitors per day
900 fleet managers were handled across the 10-day run, with badging, parking, catering and on-site networking infrastructure all managed in-venue.
Highlights
- SILO's two main halls — Meudon (1,321 m²) and Navy's (660 m²) — are industrial volumes that absorb full-size vehicles. D'Ieteren brought in seven flagship brands and dozens of EVs.
- Direct drive-in access let D'Ieteren run live test drives and route full-size vehicles in and out of the building daily — a logistical capability most Brussels conference venues can't physically support.
- Parallel zones in one venue: a main car exhibition, a dedicated indoor cycling route, charging station demos, solar and energy solutions, and networking areas — all hosted simultaneously in SILO's 9 spaces.
- 10 days of continuous exhibition. SILO's back-of-house and operational tempo support extended runs without losing visitor energy.
- B2B exhibition for 900 fleet managers handled across the 10-day run, with badging, parking and on-site catering all managed in-venue.
- Industrial concrete and steel aesthetic contrasts with sleek EV design — a backdrop that flatters product photography and brand films alongside the exhibition itself.
SILO Brussels is one of the few Brussels venues with the layout, vehicle access and operational tempo to host large-scale automotive exhibitions and EV launches. In February 2025 the Belgian mobility group D'Ieteren ran Mobility Solutions, a 10-day B2B exhibition for 900 fleet managers, and the way the event used the building is a useful illustration of what SILO offers to automotive brands, mobility companies and product launch teams.
A Brussels venue for car launches and EV exhibitions
What separates SILO from a typical Brussels conference venue, when it comes to automotive events, is physical: the building was designed as an industrial site, which means it has the floor, the volume and the access to move full-size vehicles in and out. Cars don't need to be carried, stripped or staged outside — they drive in.
For D'Ieteren, that capability is what made a 10-day exhibition with seven flagship brands possible inside a single venue. The same capability supports car launches, EV reveals, fleet showcases and mobility brand activations.
Direct vehicle access into the main halls
Meudon, SILO's main hall, is a 1,321 m² industrial volume; Navy's, the second hall, adds another 660 m² of similarly open space. Both are large enough to absorb dozens of full-size cars in a single sweep, with the floor strength and access routes to support vehicles being driven directly into the showroom.
D'Ieteren used this to run live test drives across the 10-day run — vehicles being moved in and out of the building daily, on top of the static displays. Most Brussels conference venues physically can't accommodate this; SILO is built for it.
Parallel zones for cars, bikes, charging and energy in one venue
A modern mobility exhibition isn't just cars. D'Ieteren's brief was to relaunch the company as a comprehensive mobility supplier, which meant the exhibition had to cover electric vehicles, bicycles, charging infrastructure, energy solutions and networking — simultaneously, without splitting the audience across multiple venues.
SILO's 9 spaces under one roof made this trivial. Inside Meudon and Navy's, seven flagship brands displayed their full vehicle ranges. Alongside, a dedicated indoor cycling route ran parallel to the main exhibition, EDI charging stations were set up as live demos, solar panels and energy solutions had their own zones, and networking areas were positioned between the brand displays. All of it happened in one building, across the same 10 days, without anyone having to leave to get to the next thing.
Built for long-run exhibitions — 10 days of continuous operation
Most Brussels event venues are optimised for one- or two-day events. SILO's operational tempo is different: the back-of-house, security, catering and reset cycles are built to sustain extended exhibition runs.
The Mobility Solutions exhibition ran for 10 days straight, with daily reset, consistent visitor experience and continuous on-site logistics — handling 900 fleet managers across the full run without losing energy in the second half. For brands that need an extended window to bring in customers, partners and media — not just a single launch night — SILO supports that tempo natively.
Industrial concrete and steel as backdrop for sleek product design
There's a second, subtler reason automotive brands keep returning to industrial venues like SILO: the visual contrast. Raw concrete, columns, soaring ceilings and exposed structure provide a backdrop that flatters sleek vehicle design, and makes the same exhibition floor double as the set for product photography, brand films and press content.
D'Ieteren's brand visuals, press shots and dealer-facing media all came out of the same venue that hosted the live exhibition — there was no need to commission a separate shoot location.
Equally suited to product launches, brand activations and media events
The toolkit that supported D'Ieteren — drive-in access, open-plan halls, parallel zones, long-run operations, photogenic industrial backdrop — is the same toolkit any automotive launch, fleet showcase, EV reveal, or mobility brand activation needs. Smaller and shorter formats fit the same building just as well: a single-day press launch, a one-night reveal, a dealer event, or a media test drive day.
