Planning your end-of-year party in Brussels: the 2026 guide

Every year, the same mechanics: by mid-October, December dates are gone, and the teams that waited celebrate their year-end on a Tuesday in January, in a meeting room. The end-of-year party is the one internal event everyone looks forward to. It deserves better than a plan B.

This guide covers the essentials to get it right in Brussels: the right format for your team, a real example that breaks the mould, the timeline to respect and the checklist before booking.

Why this party matters more than the others

A seminar transfers information. An end-of-year party transfers recognition. It is the event people still mention at the coffee machine in March, the one that shows up in employees’ posts, the one that weighs in the decision to stay another year.

The difference between a decent evening and a memorable one is not the budget. It is three choices: the venue, the format and the booking timing.

The right format for your team size

Up to 80 people: the intimate dinner in the Kiosque

For leadership teams, small committees or SMEs, the Kiosque offers the warmest setting on site: glazed woodwork, club armchairs, a library wall. A candlelight dinner with the feel of a private salon, miles away from the standardised banquet room.

From 100 to 400 people: the full evening in Navy’s

Navy’s (660 m²) hosts the classic staff party format: welcome cocktail, seated or walking dinner, then a dance floor under the arched windows. One space, one evening that evolves without anyone changing rooms.

From 400 to 750 people: the gala in Meudon Hall

For large companies, Meudon Hall (1,341 m²) turns into a gala room: up to 750 covers seated or 1,000 standing guests, string lights under the industrial beams, a stage for speeches and the DJ. The 1930s brewery architecture does half the decorating by itself.

The example that changes everything: the serpentine table

In September, a German law firm gathered 120 VIP guests in half of Meudon Hall. Instead of classic round tables, a single serpentine table crossed the space, weaving between the concrete columns: a snake of white linen, red napkins and candles, dozens of metres long.

Sunset cocktail on the rooftop, candlelight dinner, architectural lighting by GSP2 Event Technology, menu by Choux de Bruxelles. Not one straight line, not one guest far from the conversation.

That is what a modular space makes possible: the format does not adapt to the room, the room adapts to the idea.

The timeline: December is decided now

The ranges we observe every year in Brussels:

  • October: December Thursdays and Fridays go first. By mid-October, more than half are booked.
  • November: early-week slots and early December remain. Caterers start declining dates.
  • December: latecomers shift to January.

The January alternative deserves better than its plan B status, by the way: a “New Year party” enjoys better availability, softer rates and a different role, launching the year rather than closing it.

Budget and catering

For orders of magnitude per line, our cost guide remains the reference. Specific to end-of-year parties: the food and drinks share rises, typically 35 to 45% of the total budget.

At SILO, Artfood, our in-house partner, builds seasonal menus per format: festive walking dinner, three-course menu, themed stations. Vegetarian options are included as standard, and the final calibration happens at D-14 to avoid waste.

The checklist before booking

  • The date: one target + one alternative, ideally a Thursday or Friday in the first half of December
  • The guest count: low and high range (lists move by 15 to 25%)
  • The format: seated, standing or mixed, and the atmosphere you want
  • The budget: a global range, shared from the first contact
  • The constraints: accessibility, dietary requirements, speeches, entertainment
  • The transport: shuttles or an end time compatible with the last trains

Availability changes every week. Send your brief and we will come back within 48 hours with the remaining slots and the January alternatives.

Can we combine cocktail, dinner and a dance party?
Yes, it is the most requested format. Depending on the guest count: everything in Navy’s, or cocktail in the Kiosque, then dinner and dancing in Meudon.

Until what time is music possible?
Amplified music indoors offers wide flexibility, to be framed at the briefing depending on the format.

Are end-of-year parties only for large companies?
No. From the 20-cover leadership dinner to the 750-cover gala, every format has its space.
